What is Marigold extract

Marigold is also known as calendula, is used to make healing herbal ointments, teas, tinctures and treatments for almost 1000 years.

The color of Marigold flower is brightly orange, and the flower petals are what we use to produce Lutein and zeaxanthin. Aside from its vibrant color, marigolds extract may be used to help alleviate various ailments. It is traditionally used to help relieve minor burns, wounds and other skin problems.

1. Lutein extracted from marigold extract can protect eyesight. It can protect yellow membrane in retina, inhibit macula lutea from degeneration and blurred vision.

2. Marigold Extract have the lower macular pigment density, cut down the incidence of cataract.
3. It is anti-oxidation, which can inhibit the activity of active oxygen-derived free radicals.
4. It can also inhibit artery wall from thickening and arterial embolism, cut down the oxidation of LDL cholesterol, delay arteriosclerosis.
5. It also has anti tumors effect, inhibit breast carcinoma, carcinoma of prostate, rectal cancer, skin cancer, etc.
